Do you play on a laptop or a desktop computer? Well, I have a gaming laptop and I play games on my laptop. I have bee using this gaming laptop for a couple of years and I enjoy playing on my laptop. However, I am also thinking about getting a desktop gaming computer. I want a custom-built gaming computer.

I only play on my Xbox, my laptops are over 15 years old probably. I did order a new machine for basic web stuff I might play on via Xbox cloud or streaming from my Xbox directly.

I much prefer a desktop, but with the last 10+ years of being away from home more than at home, my gaming is based around my laptop.

A desktop will always be better but if the practicality of a laptop is more important, then that is what matters.

I would investigate the cooling configuration of any laptop you're looking into. You'll be better served by a large/fat laptop with better cooling. Make sure you find one with 2 cooling fans and decent-sized heatsinks and it should be OK. It will never perform up to a desktop standard with the same hardware, but it can get very close and you can bring it with you. There's nothing wrong with that.

I have both a laptop and a desktop and as much as I do enjoy playing games on both, it depends on whether I want a change of scenery or I am happy to stay where my desktop is.

Let’s be honest, if you connect the laptop to a mouse/keyboard and monitor. It’s really not that different.
