If you are a gamer who plays a lot of Fortnite, you will be well aware that the new season which we all thought would be Chapter 4 Season 5 is now known as Chapter 4 - Fortnite OG and with the new season it sees players going back in time to Chapter 1 Season 5 with the OG map making a comeback.
This new season, Fortnite OG will be very different to other seasons we have seen in the game over the years. Regular updates will be coming to the game during Chapter 4 - Season OG with each major update that comes bringing back a different phase of the battle royale's past.
With the update landing on 3rd November 2023, we have now been taken back to Chapter 1 Season 5 which brings back popular places such as Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park and even Retail Row. We are not just seeing OG places making a return but also OG weapons as well with the following weapons now being available in the game:
It's not just weapons we are seeing make a comeback though, with the release of Chapter 4 - Season OG, we are also seeing vehicles such as the all-terrain kart and the shopping cart available on the map again.
November 9th will be the first major update for Chapter 4 - Season OG which will see changes made and the season will be Chapter 1 Season 6 themed bringing in quadcrashers and six-shooters.
November 16th will be the third update to the game since Fortnite OG was released and with this update, we will be seeing both Chapter 1 Season 7 and 8. This update will bring with it mini-guns and Stormwing planes.
The final update will be on November 23rd and with this update, it will cover Chapter 1 seasons 9 and X which will bring Ballers and jetpacks into the game.
This is promising to be a very action-packed season for Fortnite with so much nostalgia. A developer for Epic Games and Fortnite has also said the following
Going by some of the images that we have seen, it would seem that we will also be seeing a call back of some of the live events that defined the game in Chapter 1 such as the erupting volcano, the rolling Kevin the cube and the black hole event that ended Chapter 1. Other events we may see are the meteor and Kevin the cube hovering over Loot Lake.
This season is also going to be much shorter than we are used to and what we have seen in previous seasons which normally lasts around three months. Chapter 4 - Fortnite OG will be a very short four weeks before we see it end on 2nd December 2023.
With this season being much shorter, it will feature a battle pass for 950 vBucks that only has 50 tiers and a bonus rewards battle pass that also has 50 tiers taking it to a total of 100 tiers altogether in this season. You will be happy to know that you can unlock 1000 vBucks in the battle pass.
