Bad music

Do you consider any genre as a bad music genre, that you don't want to listen to even if your life depends on it (metaphorically speaking)?

I can't listen to scremo, It's just to much noise and yelling for me, and I listen to a fair share of loud, yelling music.

I do not thing any kind of music is bad music. I only think that some music is different from the other. If I do not like it very much, then I am sure that someone else will definitely prefer it. It is not good to say that a music is not good, just because you do not bother to listen to it. Every person has their own tastes.

Not that keen on most classical or hip-hop either.

Or the heavy metal where they shout down the microphone and make these weird animal like growling noises.

OMFG I laughed so hard about the rap in crap comment xD I don't think that all hip-hop is bad music, though I'm not a huge fan of it in general. For example, I enjoy Mike Shinoda's work.
In general, I'm not a fan of samey-sounding pop music, like Rihanna, Ariana Grande or Megan Thrainor.
Thinking about it, I tend to avoid anything with thrashy lyrics about sex, wealth and partying, like Nicki Minaj (glad that after she has helped her brother the rapist so many people realized that she's no feminist hero).

Yes. There are some singers in my country who just copy the Greek hits and Turkish ones. But unlike the original they destroy the lyrics and change it just a bi too far. However, they are not the worst. There is a genre that we call TURBO FOLK MUSIC. It is just trash and people listening to this are idiots. No words can explain this, you will have to see it.

Mass produced music no matter the genre. Each genre has its strengths and weaknesses depending on how you use it- like a tool in a tool box if that makes sense. I'm not a huge fan of rap, hip-hop, heavy metal, country or dub step- but each has certain appealing elements. My biggest beef is how mass produced music has gotten thanks to major labels. Today's pop songs all sound the same because they start in the same chord/key major and follow similar notes to form the melody and the lyrics all cover the same thing- romance. Compared to pop from the 70's where there was much more experimentation and different lyrical writing styles- there's a huge difference and I'm not even a nostalgia/hipster who thinks all 70's music is the best in the world. There's still lots of talent online that's doing stuff today but it takes a ton of digging since the labels would rather focus on the easy money.

The only genres of music I don't enjoy are Classical, Hip-Hip, Rap, and Polka.
But that doesn't mean they're bad music genres. I mean, obviously they aren't horrible, or they wouldn't even exist anymore, right? It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but enough people listen to them, or they just wouldn't be so popular.

I really don't know if there are any genres that I would truly say are bad simply due to the genre style. Granted I have not listened to them all, in fact probably not even the majority once you get deep into the rabbit hole.

The only genres of music I would say are bad would be heavy metal and heavy rock. I have listened to these in the past and at least for me, they don't sound like music but more like noise and shouting which is something I would not class as being music.
